Quantum Random Number Generators
Quantum random number generator is a device which
provide a stream of random bits generated using a methods based on the
laws of quantum physics.
Currently there it is possible to obtain random data generated using
methods based on quantum physics using online services or by utilizing
specialized hardware.
Quantis
Quantis is a quantum true random number generator developed by ID
Quantique. It can be used as a USB devices, PCI or PIC express card.
Vendor: ID Quantique S.A. Type:
hardware delivering random data using USB or PCI connection. Max
speed: 4 Mbit/s for the USB version, 16 Mbit/s for the PCI
version.
QRNG Service
QRNG service is join effort of the PicoQuant GmbH and the Nano-Optics
groups at the Department of Physics of Humboldt University. It is based
on photon timing instrumentation produced by PicoQuant.
Vendor: PicoQuant GmbH Type: online
service. Max speed: 152 Mbit/s for the USB version
Web page: https://qrng.physik.hu-berlin.de/
QRBG Service
Type: online service or hardware delivering random
data using USB connection. Max speed: depending on the
connection speed - maximal speed for the device is 150 Mbit/s
Web page: http://random.irb.hr/
ANU Quantum Random Numbers
Server
Type: website offering true random numbers, random
numbers are generated in real-time by measuring the quantum fluctuations
of the vacuum. Max speed: up to 2 Gbps
Notes: API included in http://search.cpan.org/~dcantrell/Net-Random-2.2/lib/Net/Random.pm
Quantoss
Quantoss is a high-speed quantum random number generator (QRNG)
prototype, which is a joint effort of Mars Innovation and Department of
Electrical and Computer Engineering & Department of Physics,
University of Toronto.
Max speed: 1 Gbits/s Notes:
Information-theoretically provable extraction, http://www.comm.utoronto.ca/~hklo/QRNG/Quantoss.html
