We are pleased to announce the “Quantum Computing for Plasma Physics” satellite meeting, which will be held on July 12th, 2025, at the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) in Vilnius, Lithuania.
In celebration of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, we invite you to a first-of-a-kind meeting in Europe. The meeting aims to explore the opportunities that quantum computing opens for plasma physics research and showcase how these two fields can propel each other forward. Besides, this unique meeting aims to involve the plasma physics community in the global quantum initiative by showcasing contemporary efforts to integrate the latest quantum tools, algorithms, and methods into the multiple subfields in plasma physics.
This meeting takes place immediately after the 51st European Physical Society Conference on Plasma Physics, the largest European conference dedicated to advancing plasma physics and fusion research in Europe and overseas.
This one-day, in-person satellite meeting will feature presentations from international experts and emerging researchers in this interdisciplinary field, as well as a panel discussion and a poster session. If you wish to participate in a poster presentation, please complete the following Google form:
