Dear all,

Careers in Quantum (CiQ) is a two-day event bridging the gap between skilled students in STEM disciplines and the booming quantum technology industry. With a combination of talks and panel discussion from industrial and academic experts and active networking you will find out what an engaging scientific career, both inside and outside academia, might look like for you. Casual networking sessions will give you an opportunity to connect to the industry leaders there and investigate career opportunities further.

The first day will focus on how you could start a career in industry from a bachelor’s or master’s degree. We’ll hear talks from the industry experts about what their company does and the kind of skills they are looking for. The companies who’ll be at the event, will be confirmed in our web-page, from where you can find out more about them.

On the second day we’ll be continuing focussing on how a PhD could advance your career. Masters students can hear from leading academics in the field about their research and groups. There will be lots of possible PhD projects.

On Friday afternoon, PhD students will have the opportunity to talk to a wide range of potential employers, in a ‘job fair’ style event.
