University of Gdańsk invites foreign students to join summer schools on quantum information technology – an innovative and rapidly developing global field of study.
The International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies (ICTQT) at the University of Gdańsk is currently one of the leading centers in the theory of quantum technologies research worldwide.
About school: Quantum open systems theory describes the behaviour of a quantum system in interaction with its environment. It is very important because it allows a better understanding of quantum statistical mechanics, quantum thermodynamics and even quantum cosmology. In this course you will learn the basics of this theory and the mathematical tools to describe it. To help you follow the lecture, we will also introduce you to the basics of quantum mechanics.
