The Quantum Control Laboratory at the University of Sydney is focused on studies of quantum control, metrology, and quantum simulation using trapped ions. We offer PhD positions in experimental quantum simulation and sensing with trapped 2D ion crystals for fundamental and applied physics (https://arxiv.org/abs/2303.10801).
The lab is a part of the ARC Centre of Excellence in Engineered Quantum Systems (https://equs.org/), a collaboration of five major Australian universities focused on fundamental and applied research in quantum physics and engineering. Furthermore, the University is part of the newly founded Sydney Quantum Academy (https://sydneyquantum.org/). For further information and applications, please contact Robert Wolf (firstname.lastname@example.org).
