PhD in the theory of open quantum systems at Strathclyde University

A fully-funded 3.5 year PhD position is available in the group of Dr Peter Kirton co-supervised by Prof Andrew Daley, at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK.

This exciting opportunity will focus on understanding phase transitions in open quantum systems by developing new numerical methods to study the behavior of many-body quantum systems in the presence of driving and dissipation. Candidates for this position should have (or be about to obtain) a strong undergraduate degree in physics or applied mathematics.
