A 2-year postdoctoral position is open at the Institut de Physique Thรฉorique (IPhT), CEA Saclay, near Paris, starting in early 2027.
The position focuses on bringing a device-independent perspective to quantum computing. The work involves designing and analysing core quantum computing primitives that reduce the need to trust the underlying hardware. The position is funded by the QuantERA project ToDiQT, a consortium that brings together six groups in France, Austria, Belgium and Poland.
๐ Your profile: PhD in physics, mathematics or computer science, with a strong background in quantum information theory. Experience in quantum error correction and an interest in self-testing are a plus.
๐ We offer: a 2-year contract, close collaboration with several research groups across Europe, funding for travel, and a well-connected research environment on the Saclay plateau.
