This post is available for 18 months (to start on the 1st of June 2012 or as soon as possible after this date) to investigate quantum mechanical effects at the mesoscopic scale. The work will be done under the EPSRC funding recently awarded to Dr. M. Paternostro (CTAMOP) under the "New Directions for EPSRC Research leaders" initiative and will imply the design of experimentally testable proposals for the revelation of mesoscopic quantumness. The fellow will be mentored by Dr. Paternostro and Dr. G. De Chiara, and will be a member of QTeQ and will be expected to participate actively to the activities of the group, including partial supervision of Master and PhD students.
Salary: £30,122-£39,257 per annum (including contribution points), and a rich allowance for traveling and conference attendance will be made available to the Fellow.
