There is 1~2 opening positions for postdoc candidates in the group of “Quantum many-body physics and quantum information in cold atoms” (QMQICA) led by Prof. Dr. Yongchang Zhang at Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), Xi’an, China. If you are interested in quantum many-body physics, dipolar cold-atom physics, and quantum information, and would like to pursue exciting research in these areas, please do not hesitate to contact (zhangyc@xjtu.edu.cn) for more information about this position. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Zhang, and closely interact with other members of the “Research Center on Cold Atom Physics” in the School of Physics at XJTU.
This position is offered for 2 years (an extension is possible), with a flexible starting date. Please send your CV with a publication list and a brief research statement to Dr. Zhang. Successful candidates should have (<3 years), or be close to completing a PhD in theoretical quantum many-body physics, and should also have experience with numerical simulation of quantum many-body systems (e.g., imaginary time evolution, Monte Carlo simulation, …).
The School of Physics of XJTU offers ideal working conditions in a stimulating environment that includes the MOE Key Laboratory for Nonequilibrium Synthesis and Modulation of Condensed Matter, Shaanxi Key Laboratory of Quantum Information and Quantum Optoelectronic Devices, and Insititue of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information. XJTU also provides competitive financial support for outstanding postdocs through the “Postdoctoral International Exchange Program of China Western Overseas Postdoc Innovation Demonstration Center” (deadlines: 15 August 2022) or “Young Excellent Talents Program of XJTU”.
