Postdoctoral research fellow | Nonlinear Quantum Operations with Light

The Group led by Prof. Radim Filip at Palacky University (http://muj.optol.cz/filip/) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher in the area of theoretical quantum optics and quantum non-Gaussian states operations with light. Expertise with non-Gaussian and hybrid quantum optics will be valued, but an open-minded researcher ready for a new challenge is most welcome. The targets are feasible highly nonlinear operations with propagating and stored light based on quantum non-Gaussian states and detectors, including analysis of their performance and applications.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in physics and ideally have a strong background in theoretical quantum physics and quantum technologies. He/she is expected to collaborate with an Assoc. Prof. Petr Marek, the experimental group led by Prof. Akira Furusawa at (http://www.alice.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/index-en.php) inside the joint project and with the experimental groups led by Prof. Julien Laurat (http://www.quantumnetworks.lkb.ens.fr/cv-laurat) and Prof. Nicolas Treps
(http://www.lkb.upmc.fr/quantumoptics/multimodequantumoptics/) at LKB, Sorbonne University, Paris.

The monthly salary is 40,000-50,000 CZK before tax, and the appointed contract period is September 1. 2019 - August 31, 2021. Start of the contract can be postponed until October 1, 2019.
