Description:
We are opening a 2.5Y Postdoc position in quantum optics and quantum engineering of multiphoton sources of light, specifically, for new project on preparation and characterisation of light emitted by atoms and solid-state emitters.
The theoretical work of Postdoc will be focused on (i) analysis and simulation of nonclassical multiphoton light emitted atoms and solid-state emitters and (ii) development of experimentally feasible tests with trapped ions, quantum dots and NV centers. Theoretical proposals will be developed inside our quantum optics team (see http://muj.optol.cz/filip/) and towards possible experimental tests in collaboration with a partner lab inside the project and foreign labs in Stockholm, Innsbruck, Lyngby and Erlangen. Our research runs in a friendly, collaborative and very international academic environment, including theoretical and experimental physicists in quantum optics, quantum communication, quantum optomechanics, quantum thermodynamics, physics of trapped ions and particles, theoretical and experimental quantum information and classical optics. Postdoc work will be in collaboration with a PhD student and other Postdoc.
Position summary: Full-time temporary employment. The position is limited to a maximum of two and half years. An extension is conditionally possible. Salary is monthly 40.000-50.000 CZK (up to 2000 EURs) before tax and social/health insurance, depending on Postdocs experience. The position can start at any time from March 1 until June 30, 2019.
The application deadline is January 1, 2019. Apply immediately!
