The Quantum Information Theory Group (led by Prof. Changhun Oh) at the Department of Physics, KAIST, South Korea, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position. We are seeking a motivated researcher to work on theoretical and architecture-level problems in quantum computing.
The primary research areas include:
- Quantum Error Correction (QEC): Novel QEC codes, fault-tolerant protocols, and decoding algorithms.
- Photonic QEC & Photonic Quantum Computing: Fault-tolerant architectures utilizing continuous-variable (CV) / discrete-variable (DV) photonic systems, cluster states, and bosonic codes.
- Advanced Quantum Circuits & Benchmarking: Theoretical analysis and benchmarking of quantum systems and bosonic circuits.
Requirements:
- A Ph.D. in Physics, Theoretical Physics, or a closely related field.
- A strong research background in theoretical quantum information, with relevant peer-reviewed publications.
- Experience in QEC, optical/photonic quantum computing, or bosonic systems is highly preferred.
Employment Term & Benefits:
- The initial contract is for 2 years, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding.
- Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, including standard institutional benefits.
