The Polytechnic University of Bari (Italy) is hiring a senior postdoctoral researcher in quantum communications. The post is funded through the EU flagship "QSNP" (Quantum Secure Networks Partnership). Local PI is prof Cosmo Lupo. The group of theoretical physics and quantum information includes faculty members prof Saverio Pascazio, prof Paolo Facchi, prof Francesco V Pepe, five research fellows and a number of postdocs and PhD students.

This is a 2-year post, with potential extension subject to funding. For this post we will only consider applicants with at least 4 years of research experience after the PhD. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in any aspect of quantum information theory, or in particular in quantum cryptography / quantum communications.

Net salary: about 2200 €/month
