Two theory postdoctoral positions in quantum computing
Two theory postdoc positions are available at Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS), located in Daejeon, South Korea. We are looking for highly motivated, well-qualified, and independent scientists who would be interested in quantum computing. The successful applicants will be able to develop their academic career in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, allowing diverse opportunities to work with other theorists and experimentalists at KRISS or other places. Furthermore, the applicants will work very closely with superconducting quantum computers being developed at KRISS under the Korean quantum flagship project launched in 2022.
With a flexible starting date, the initial term of appointment is two years (1+1) and renewable on a yearly basis contingent upon funding and successful performance. The position will be open until filled.
Applicants should have obtained a Ph.D. degree within the last five years or soon to be completed in physics, mathematics, computer science or related fields. A strong background in quantum physics, quantum computing, and quantum information science is required. Also, proven expertise in analytical and numerical methods in specific research topics/fields including Hamiltonian engineering, quantum algorithms, quantum simulation/emulation, error analysis, and quantum circuits are highly valued in addition to good communication and writing skills.
For application, please send an email to Dr. Changhyoup Lee (firstname.lastname@example.org) with
- curriculum vitae
- list of publications
- names and email addresses of at least two senior scientists for reference
