SPW2015 is the seventh installment in a series of workshops on single-photon technologies and applications. Single-photon technologies are vital to applications such as quantum cryptography, quantum information processing, quantum imaging, and quantum metrology. Fields such as astrophysics, nuclear physics, and biology also benefit from developments in single-photon technologies.

Weak Value and its measurement, Weak Measurement, have seen a surge of interest in recent years because of their possibility of impact on the very foundation of quantum mechanics and also of their relevance in precision measurement by the characteristic amplification mechanism. The aim of this workshop is to bring together some of the prominent world experts and internal leaders of the field to discuss the imminent issues that have surfaced recently.

The workshop will cover a broad range of topics in quantum control, from fundamental questions to technological applications. It will consist of a first part focused on information-theoretic aspects of quantum control and complexity, and a second part focused on experimental challenges and nuclear magnetic resonance applications.

The workshop will gather experts and early stage researchers, fostering discussions and exchanges. There will be tutorial lectures, invited and contributed talks, a poster session, and an industry session.
