since 2014: Professor of Experimental Physics for Nanophotonics and Nanomechanics 2011 - 2017: Head of Emmy Noether Junior Research Group 2010 - 2011: Locum Professor, Ludwigs-Maximilians-Universität München 2008 - 2011: Research Associate Experimentalphysik I, Universität Augsburg 2006 - 2008: Materials Department, University of California, Santa Barbara CA (UCSB) Feodor Lynen Postdoctoral Fellow (Alexander von Humboldt Foundation) 2001 - 2006: Walter Schottky Institut (WSI), TU München Our research is centered on the fabrication, investigation and control of novel solid-state nanosystems with tailored optical, electrical and mechanical properties. It is guided by the vision to unify and employ the coherent interaction of the three elementary excitations in the solid state, electrons, photons and phonons – ultimately in the limit of single quanta. My research covers three major areas of modern solid-state physics o Quantum-optomechanics: coherent coupling of light, sound and matter in nanoscale circuits on a chip o Fabrication, characterization and control of hybrid active nanosystems o High-resolution acousto-optoelectronic spectroscopy of emerging solid-state materials
