The school "Nanotechnology meets Quantum Information (NanoQI)" provides a broad overview of different implementations of quantum information processing and quantum technologies. The school is aimed at PhD students and young postdocs interested in quantum information processing and quantum technologies.

Eight leading experts will review the experimental and theoretical state-of-the-art for some of the most promising implementations such as semiconductor quantum dots, superconducting circuits, defect centers in diamond, optomechanical systems, and topological insulators and explore the prospects of quantum computing, quantum technologies, and the physics of quantum many-body systems.

Confirmed lecturers are: Ignacio Cirac (MPQ), Rudolf Gross (TU Munich and WMI), Fedor Jelezko (U Ulm), Mikhail Lukin (Harvard), Florian Marquardt (U Erlangen), Eugene Polzik (U Copenhagen), Gil Refael (Caltech), Lieven Vandersypen (TU Delft and Intel), Susanne Yelin (UConn and Harvard).
