Dear colleagues,

we are happy to announce the 28th Chris Engelbrecht Summer School on Quantum Machine Learning that will take place from 23 January to 1 February 2017 in the Drakensberg Mountains of South Africa.

Quantum Machine Learning is a newly emerging interdisciplinary research area investigating how quantum information can help with pattern recognition tasks in machine learning.

The Summer School will give a hands-on introduction to quantum information and machine learning for those not familiar with either subject, followed by an overview of recent quantum machine learning algorithms and the techniques they are based on. Tutorials and practicals will be an integral part of the School. There will be ample room for discussions and further explorations.

Registration is open until 15th November. For more information as well as the current programme and speakers list, please visit www.quantummachinelearning.org or send an email to schuld@ukzn.ac.za.

Best regards,
