Quantum Optics VII will provide a forum to discuss the most important scientific developments in areas related with Quantum Optics and Quantum Information. The topics covered in the conference include: Non-Linear Optics, Atom Optics, Laser cooling, Atom and Ion trapping, Bose-Einstein Condensation, Quantum Interference, Entanglement, Atom Laser, Quantum Information Processing, Quantum Foundations, Decoherence, among others.

This conference is a sequel of previous "Quantum Optics" meeting that are organized every two years in a different latin american country. The Quantum Optics series started in 2000 with a conference organized by Miguel Orzag in Santiago de Chile. They continued with Quantum Optics II in 2004 (Cozumel, Mexico), Quantum Optics III in 2006 (Pucon, Chile), Quantum Optics IV in 2008 (Jurere, Brazil), Quantum Optics V in 2010 (Cozumel, Mexico) and Quantum Optics VI in 2012 (Piriapolis, Uruguay).

The conference brings together researchers from all over the world but is particularly important for the latin american scientists working in quantum optics and related areas. It will include plenary talks, invited talks and poster presentations.
