This school is sponsored and organised by SEPnet (the South East Physics Network) and is aimed at PhD students and postdoctoral researchers who are interested in potential technological applications which rely on the properties of quantum mechanics to perform useful tasks with efficiency or scale beyond the limitations of current technology. Such devices obey Schroedinger's equations thereby employing the principle of superposition and entanglement to achieve its goal.
There will be four half-day sessions focusing on one of the main pillars of Quantum Technology: Quantum computation, Quantum simulation, Quantum sensing/metrology and Quantum communications. Both evenings will be dedicated to students’ poster presentations.
Registration and conference fee £340.00 (includes twin-bedded accommodation (two people sharing) on 24 & 25 April 2017, all meals, refreshments and taxi shuttle from Liphook station to Old Thorns during the conference.)
