Dear colleagues,

This is the second call to register for the seventh nanoMRI workshop that will take place at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot (Israel) between 29 Mar-02 Apr 2020. It is co-organized by the Weizmann Institute of Science and ETH Zurich. To apply, the participants are asked to register before Nov. 30th 2019 using the URL link below.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: This meeting will bring together an interdisciplinary community of scientists and engineers interested in the broader development of novel techniques to excite and detect spin dynamics at the nanoscale through mechano-opto-electronic systems coupling. More specifically, this conference will present the recent research progress and the future frontiers in information technology research that exploits the magnetic resonance spectroscopy at the nanoscale.

FORMAT: The format is a five-day session in the beautiful campus of the Weizmann Institute of Science. The aim is to bring together a broad spectrum of scientists to discuss their current research and to build networks with their peers. Presentation of participants' research will be through invited talks, contributed talks and poster presentations including content spanning from introductory material for non-experts to the latest unpublished research. Ample time for questions and discussions will be reserved to promote the exchange of ideas.

Because of space limitation (approximately 100 attendees), a selection of the participants might be required by the organizers. In this case, the list of confirmed attendees will be announced no later than Dec. 15th 2019. Please wait for a confirmation before arranging your travel plan.

A participation fee of $100 may be charged at the conference website. This fee does not include accommodation. Rehovot is a relatively small city, and so there are not so many hotels (or rooms) just next to the Institute. We have blocked 20 rooms in the Leonardo hotel just next to the train station. More rooms may be blocked for students at a reduced cost in the nearby Faculty of Agriculture (across the road).

Further information about the conference will be advertised through the website http://www.weizmann.ac.il/conferences/NANOMRI7.

Please find attached a poster, which we encourage you to hang on your departments' notice boards, forward it to colleagues and in general pass around!

Kind regards,
The organizers

Amit Finkler, Christian Degen and Alexander Eichler
