We invite you to attend (remote-only) Episode XXXVIII of the Warsaw Quantum Computing Group meetup, this time on 28.03.2022, 18:00 CET. Oskar Słowik will give a talk on “Transpilation of quantum circuits”.

If you are interested, please register by 27.03 EOD CET:

Abstract from Oskar:

Transpilation is the process of rewriting an abstract quantum circuit into a functionally equivalent one that is compatible with a target quantum device. Moreover, the circuit structure is being optimized to improve its performance. This optimization process is particularly important in the case of noisy quantum hardware we currently have. In this talk, I will discuss the transpilation process in more detail using the Qiskit Terra transpiler as an example.

BIO:

Oskar Słowik is a PhD student in mathematical physics at the Center for Theoretical Physics PAS, focusing on the mathematical aspects of quantum computing. He obtained MSc degrees in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Warsaw in 2020 and 2021. Having a background in programming, he is involved in open-source contributions to quantum software and machine learning projects. Since 2021, he has been a member of the Qiskit Advocate Program, in which he is currently working on solving some issues related to the Qiskit transpiler.

As usual, this meeting is organized by the Quantum AI Foundation with the support of Snarto.com, Cogit, and our Honorary Partners.

We hope to see you soon!
