The Role of The Observer
Quantum mechanics has been a constant source of innovation for over a century, and is now opening the door to a new age of information technologies. Identifying the key quantum structures and developing new concepts and methods can accelerate the progress, facilitating the development of new information-processing protocols and the discovery of new connections with other areas of physics. This workshop brings together researchers working in quantum information science and in the foundations of quantum mechanics, with the aim of promoting cross-disciplinary interactions. This year’s edition will have a special focus on the role of the observer in quantum theory, including (but not limited to) quantum Bayesian concepts and methods, quantum causal networks, quantum learning machines, and quantum communication.
The Conference is held from 8th-12th January.
