Salary: £25769 to £37768 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum £28982 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
Fixed term.

The project is to carry out research on the equilibrium and out-of-equilibrium properties of many-body system, for example cold atomic gases, quantum optical systems or classical colloidal systems. One focus will be on the study of the emergence of correlated states and collective phenomena in the presence of dissipation and/or (coherent) driving.

Applications are invited for a position as a Post-Doctoral Research Officer at the Department of Physics in the College of Science (reference AC1416) at Swansea University, to develop research in the field of theoretical quantum information, under the supervision of Dr Markus Müller.

The Department of Physics at the University of Virginia is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to do theoretical work in quantum computing and quantum information, in particular on the exploration of quantum simulation using continuous-variable quantum optical systems.

Every year Aberystwyth University runs a competition for PhD fellowships. I'm looking for a candidate to apply with for this competition, with a deadline on 1st of March, and an aim to start their PhD in Autumn. My group currently consists of four PhD students and one PostDoc. Aberystwyth is a beautiful seaside town in Wales with lots of nature around. The fellowship will pay for home/EU fees and provide a stipend for living costs for 3 years. The application involves a research plan which should overlap with my research interests in quantum control, open systems and quantum information.
