Postdoc for the development of quantum computing applications

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to work on theoretical aspects related to quantum computing with trapped Rydberg ions. The position is funded through the project ‘Brisk Rydberg Ions for Scalable Quantum Processors’ which is financed by the European Union.
The project goals are the following:

(i) To devise and characterise protocols for fast entangling gates using high-lying (Rydberg) states of trapped ions.

The Institute of Theoretical Physics at the University of Cologne is seeking an outstanding junior academic in the field of theoretical quantum science and technologies. Expected directions encompass quantum devices, quantum matter, and quantum information science. Applications must demonstrate experience in at least one of these areas, and show openness to research transcending the boundaries between fields. The Ultrafast Quantum Control Group at Dalhousie University and The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) to carry out research on the development of solid-state quantum emitters based on strained 2D semiconductors for the advancement of quantum technology applications such as sensors and quantum networks.

The research group of Professor Wen Wei Ho at the Department of Physics, National University of Singapore (NUS), is seeking highly motivated candidates at the PhD student and postdoctoral levels, with expertise and interests in theoretical nonequilibrium quantum many-body physics, quantum information science, as well as quantum simulation and computation. The positions are to begin Aug 2022 but the start-date is flexible.
