In the Theory of Cold Atoms group of Prof. Uwe R. Fischer at Seoul National University, two Postdoc positions are open in the field of quantum simulations of curved spacetimes (aka analogue gravity). Previous experience in the latter field and its implementations in various systems is required, such as in ultracold dilute quantum gases, ion traps, polariton condensates etc., and is to be documented in published form.

We are offering a funded three year postdoctoral position to a highly motivated and well-qualified researcher who intends to work in the field of quantum thermodynamics. We offer a 2-years PhD position (with possible extension) for a motivated researcher to join our work on adaptive quantum sensing. Our goal is to develop an automatic quantum sensor, based on a single spin in diamond, enhanced by machine learning algorithms. The sensor will automatically optimize its settings to operate in conditions of maximum sensitivity, minimizing the estimation times.

Available immediately. Experimental postdoc position in atomic physics working on implementations of quantum information processing in neutral atom systems, including quantum sensing with atom interferometers, and multi-atom entanglement using interactions between ultra-cold Rydberg atoms in optical tweezers. We offer a 2-years PhD position (possibly renewable ) for a motivated researcher to join our work on spin qubits in silicon carbide (SiC). Colour centres in SiC have recently be shown to uniquely combine excellent spin properties with ultrastable optical transitions for spin-photon interfacing (see, for example, our collaborative work publish in Nature Communications 10, 1954). Our goal is to develop optically-active spin qubits directly operating at telecom wavelength, providing building blocks for the future Quantum Internet.
