Applications are invited for a PhD position in the Nonequilibrium Quantum Dynamics Research Group of Prof. Amikam Levy at the Department of Chemistry, Bar-Ilan University, Israel. The position includes a full fellowship for up to four years.

Research:

The research will focus on theoretical aspects of quantum dynamics and quantum technologies, with possible directions including open quantum systems, quantum control, quantum sensing, and the dynamics of noisy quantum devices.

We are hiring two motivated PhD students to join the FWF ASTRA Merit project "Coupled-Cluster Methods for Strongly Correlated Materials". With Dr. Pokhilko's guidance, students will develop new coupled-cluster methods targeting strong electron correlation and apply these methods to challenging compounds. Mentoring and career development are important components of the PhD program.

The position offers a PhD studentship of no more than 48 months and an opportunity to conduct theoretical research in quantum information theory under joint supervision.
