The QINFO team is recruiting a PhD student to work on computational problems in quantum information under the supervision of Omar Fawzi. We are seeking excellent candidates with a strong mathematical background and some prior exposure to quantum information. Specifically, the most important skills we are looking for include:
Mathematics of Quantum Information Theory
Quantum many body systems
Convex optimization and semidefinite programming
Strong programming and machine learning skills.
You do not need to have all the skills to apply, convincing evidence for one or two of these skills is enough. The specific topic will be determined depending on the successful candidate's skills and interests.
