The Science and Engineering Division of the University of Guanajuato, Mexico invites applications for a tenure-track position to start on January 15, 2024. We seek a candidate with experience and scientific production on experimental aspects that includes optical instrumentation, for research and application in the development of devices based on quantum phenomena, specifically application to quantum information, quantum key distribution system, quantum sensors. Duties include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level and conducting research. Applicants must show evidence of research accomplishments, the potential to develop meaningful research programs with student participation, and willingness to work as a team member, develop research in the laboratory of the University of Guanajuato that contributes to the strengthening of the experimental projects of the group "Study and Development of Optical Quantum Systems". Proposals that include collaboration with group members will be positively valued. The appointment will be for one year, with possible renewal for a second year and exceptionally up to 30 months. The final decision on tenure will be based on the professor's teaching and research record. Candidates must submit: i) a letter of application, ii) a curriculum vitae, iii) a list of publications, iv) two letters of reference, v) a research proposal to be carried at the University of Guanajuato, including objectives and goals to be achieved in one and two years.
