PhD Scholarship in the Engineering of Hybrid Quantum Systems
Physical Sciences/Other Physical Sciences

Immediately available is a PhD scholarship in the research and development of quantum hybrid systems for sensors and critical elements for quantum networks e. g. memories, switches and interfaces. Quantum sensors utilise quantum systems to achieve high precision measurement of forces, electric fields, magnetic fields etc. In particular the project will focus on the theory of quantum moving systems and spins in solids - e.g. optomechanical, electromechanical, system to perform high precision sensing, color centres in diamond.

The scholarships cover the national/international fees (International: 32,000$/yr), and provides an annual stipend of ~25,000$, with some support for relocation. The PhD provides approx 15,000$ for travel and research costs.
