The Center for Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering at the Medical University of Vienna (head:
Prof. Wolfgang Drexler, Vienna) in collaboration with the Institute for Integrated Circuits at the
Johannes Kepler University Linz (head: Prof. Robert Wille, Linz) is seeking for a Postdoc in the area of
quantum computing.

The postdoc will be responsible to explore the potential of quantum computing for applications in the
field of medical computational science such as machine learning, image reconstruction, modeling and
simulation. The postdoc shall act as liaison between the MUW (with expertise on medical applications)
and JKU (with expertise on the design of quantum algorithms). We are looking for a candidate who
already has experience in quantum computing, but is also open to explore new directions within this
interdisciplinary project.
We are offering a high-profile environment with a strong focus on top-notch research and international
cooperation (https://zmpbmt.meduniwien.ac.at/?L=1 and http://iic.jku.at/eda/research/quantum/).
We will provide the successful candidate with the necessary support to work in both medical as well as quantum computing domains. The position will furthermore grant exclusive access to on-site high-
performance computing environments to run various quantum simulator environments for development purposes. The position is to be hosted at MUW (Vienna) and it is to be filled up immediately.
