We have openings for talented scientists who are ready to take up a leadership role in our group and to spearhead new initiatives and provide supervision and guidance to junior members of the team.
You will be part of a well funded initiative to create quantum networks of superconducting circuits mediated by telecom photons. Your job will include the following subjects:
- Leading the development of recipes for Lithium Niobate photonics
- Measure chips at room temperature and in a dilution refrigerator
- Exploring novel fabrication methods to couple rare-earth ions in solid-state with integrated optics
You will also work closely with the PI to develop future experimental goals and shape the general research direction of the group. There will also be ample opportunity to explore your own ideas and participate in grant-writing processes. Postdoc applicants should have proven research experience and have a strong interest in quantum technologies. Furthermore, a PhD in Experimental Physics or Engineering is required, as well as knowledge on micro and Nano-fabrication.
The applicant must master several of the following techniques:
- E-beam lithography/deposition
- Reactive Ion Etching
- Wafer bonding
- UV photolithography (better if deep UV)
Ideally the candidate received its PhD working on superconducting circuits, spin defects in solid-state, integrated optics (with Lithium Niobiates) or quantum optics experiments. A good knowledge of quantum mechanics / quantum optics is preferred. An excellent command of the English language is essential.

ABOUT THE GROUP
Qove Laboratory is led by Presidential Young Professor Steven Touzard and located at the National University of Singapore. The lab is funded by the prestigious NRF Fellowship. Our group works on a large range of quantum technologies, with currently an emphasis on remotely entangling superconducting qubits with telecom photons to form long-range quantum networks.
