Applications are invited for a one-year (renewable) postdoctoral position to work on topics of quantum effects in mesoscopic physics starting from 1 February 2013. The fellow will work within the Quantum Information team at Universidade Federal do ABC, São Paulo (Brazil) (http://flsemiao.wordpress.com/) under the supervision of Prof. F. L. Semiao and in very close collaboration with the Quantum Technology group at Queen's University Belfast (led by Dr. Mauro Paternostro and Dr. Gabriele De Chiara, http://web.am.qub.ac.uk/wp/qo/).
Applicants should be highly motivated, with expertise in the fields of quantum information processing, quantum optics and, possibly, quantum many-body systems. Applicants must hold (or be about to obtain) a PhD in one of the relevant areas above.
