The postdoc will analyze generation and detection of the autonomous quantum coherence, quantum correlations and entanglement (G. Guarnieri, M. Kolář, and R. Filip Phys. Rev. Lett. 121, 070401, 2018) and its impact in quantum coherence theory, entanglement theory and quantum thermodynamics. To propose the experiments testing such novel phenomena postdoc will use analysis of atoms, cold trapped ions and solid-state systems based on their nonlinear interaction with a bath, including numerical modelling, and applications in thermodynamical processes like quantum batteries and quantum engines. This research will be supported by the project of the Czech Science Foundation for 3 years. Prof. Dr. Radim Filip is a mentor for this position and PI of the project. The postdoc will intensively collaborate with Dr. Michal Kolář, the theory group at Department of Optics, Faculty of Science, Palacky University Olomouc led by Prof. Dr. Radim Filip, with the atomic experimental group at this department (Dr. L. Slodička) and many partner teams abroad.
Ph.D. in Physics;
Specialization in quantum optics, quantum information, light-atom interaction, quantum coherence or quantum thermodynamics;
Publication track-record in the field of quantum optics, quantum information, quantum coherence or quantum thermodynamics;
Ability to communicate in English.
