Job type:

Application deadline:

Friday, October 25, 2024

We are scouting strongly motivated scholars to join the NEUQUAM team led by Dr. J. Marino (https://sites.google.com/view/nequantumuniv), which will be relocating as Sept 1st, 2025, at the SUNY in Buffalo, USA.

Core research topics of the team revolve around strongly correlated quantum matter in cavity QED experiments, universality in the dynamics of many-body quantum information, and non-equilibrium physics at the interface of solid state & quantum optics. Our research activity is in synergy with several international teams located in Europe (Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland) and in the US.

Students with different scientific backgrounds are welcome, and strongly encouraged to contact us.

Our team relies on synergy among its members, on work dedication, and on commitment to reach independence and excellence by the end of PhD studies. Involvement in numerous international collaborations is expected.

Interested scholars should send the following material:

1) curriculum vitae;
2) transcript of records of bachelor and master studies, with marks for each of the classes attended (notice that a master degree is not a requirement to join the PhD program);
3) names and e-mail contacts of 1-2 senior scientists who can vouch for your academic journey and achievements (please, do not ask to send recommendation letters);

to the email address neuquam@gmail.com by October 25th, 2024. Inquiries may be considered after deadline till suitable candidates are identified.
