The Silicon Quantum Technology group (http://www.sfu.ca/physics/siliconquantum/), based at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Metro Vancouver, Canada, invites applications for a postdoctoral experimentalist position, available immediately, on the subject of quantum repeater and quantum network development.

We are looking for ambitious candidates with an excellent track record and Ph.D. on a closely related topic, with a parallel interest in quantum technology commercialization. Experience with solid-state photon memories and/or repeater designs and protocols would be an asset. Candidates must also have excellent interpersonal, computational, and communication skills.

This full-time position is offered for two years with a possible 1-year extension. A salary of $65K CAD p.a. plus benefits (https://www.sfu.ca/human-resources/other/research-personnel-benefit-plan...) is available. As well as the opportunity to work in the emerging field of quantum network development with Professor S. Simmons (SFU) and in collaboration with Professor C. Simon (Calgary), the successful candidate will receive graduate training and mentorship in Science & Technology Commercialization, through SFU’s Invention to Innovation (i2I) Program, led by Professor E. Maine (SFU).
