Theory of Controlled Quantum Many-Body Systems

Research type:

Our research investigates the theory of non-equilibrium quantum many-body systems and its relation to the fields of quantum control, quantum simulation and quantum information processing. Major research lines regard the quantum simulation of correlated quantum systems, the design of protocols for state preparation based on coherent control and reservoir engineering, and the development of quantum error correction algorithms. These topics are explored in connection to implementations in synthetic quantum systems, including superconducting circuits, ultracold atoms and molecular nanomagnets. The group is based at the Technical University of Berlin and lead by Dr. Francesco Petiziol.
