quantum algorithms

Our leading group is concerned with research in quantum information theory, condensed matter theory and the intersection between the fields.

- We ask what information processing tasks are possible using single quantum systems as carriers of information. We think about the mathematical-theoretical foundations of quantum information, specifically about the theory of entanglement and questions of tomography, but also about ways of realizing topological quantum computing.

Applications are invited for PhD scholarships in quantum computation at the National University of Ireland Galway.
Initially, to discuss/formulate a research topic for the application, contact Dr. M. Mc Gettrick at michael.mcgettrick@nuigalway.ie.
The full details of the application procedures, eligibility, etc. are at http://www.nuigalway.ie/hardiman-scholarships/

Applications are invited for a tenure track position in Quantum Computing at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Hong Kong.

HKU is a leading research university and a highly international environment. As of 2020, it was ranked third in Asia and 22nd internationally by QS, and fourth in Asia and 35th internationally by THE.

Really exciting career opportunity to join our team and help shape the future of quantum in beautiful British Columbia! Deadline to apply Nov. 16th .

The Quantum Algorithms Institute (QAI) is seeking its inaugural Executive Director. The QAI is a newly established not-for-profit corporation involving multiple industry and academic partners.

Applications are invited for a 2-year postdoctoral research position, applied for competitively through the Irish Research Council, to work at the National University of Ireland Galway, with Michael Mc Gettrick, in areas such as quantum computation, quantum walks and quantum games. While the final deadline is November 19, interested parties should get in touch well before that for initial discussions to determine an area of mutual interest.
