Quantum communications

Have you ever wanted to take part in the development of top photonic quantum technologies which will change our future? Are you eager to work side by side and learn from with the best quantum scientists, space agencies and high-tech companies? Do you want to boost your career in academia or business R&D in Europe and beyond? If your answer is “yes”, you are highly creative and hold a PhD in physics, computer science or mathematics or you will graduate in the next few months, then join our multi-national Quantum Technologies Research Group led by Prof. Magdalena Stobińska at the University of Warsaw. We have now 3 open positions which we plan to fill as soon as possible.

The team of Experimental Quantum Communications in York has recently been awarded funding from the
Quantum Communications Hub for a project to investigate and develop Twin-Field Quantum Key Distribution
(TF-QKD), a novel technique to dramatically extend the QKD transmission range.
The research associate will work in a stimulating environment in brand new labs and with expert colleagues to
achieve the goals of the project through a curiosity-driven approach.

A joint team from the Departments of Electronic Engineering and Physics at University of York, UK, are currently developing research activities on free-space quantum communications systems, which have so far included funded feasibility studies and phased experimental demonstrations.

Announcement for a faculty position (RTD-A) at the University of Padova - DEI.
The candidate shall operate within the QuantumFuture Research Group on mainly experimental topics in Quantum Optics and Information, with a focus on Quantum Communications in Space and ground links, Quantum random number generators and the fundaments of Quantum Physics.

Quantum Communications for ALL (QCALL) is a European Innovative Training Network that endeavours to take the next necessary steps to bring the developing quantum technologies closer to the doorsteps of end users. QCALL will empower a nucleus of 15 doctoral researchers in this area to provide secure communications in the European continent and, in the long run, to its connections worldwide.
