A postdoctoral position is available in quantum information science at the University of Southern California in the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering. This position is for a research project involving the theory of weak and continuous measurement, quantum trajectories, and closed-loop quantum control, under the supervision of Prof. Todd Brun. The successful applicant should have a Ph.D.

The Center for Quantum Information and Control (CQuIC) at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque is seeking at least two postdoctoral fellows (PDF) in the groups of Profs. Carlton M. Caves and Ivan H. Deutsch with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

- Quantum control theory
- Quantum measurement theory and tomography
- Quantum metrology
- Quantum simulation and computation
- Quantum chaos

PREDOCTORAL RESARCHER IN QUANTUM CONTROL AND TOMOGRAPHY AT THE UNIVERSIDAD CARLOS III DE MADRID
A fully funded Reserarcher Contract in Quantum Control and Tomography is available to work under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Ibort Latre at the Departamento de Matemáticas, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain). It covers a period ending 31/12/2013.

Quitemad is a consortium of five groups working in different aspects of QIPC in the region of Madrid. This project is a four year coordinated action funded by the regional goverment. Apart from research in technological and theoretical aspects of of quantum information theory, the consortium is strongly devoted to the development of a four year program of activities, such as workshops, conferences, seminars and scientific exchange between local and international groups.
