Quantum Mechanics and Pseudoscience
Most ordinary lay people do not understand
quantum
mechanics very well so even intelligent people who are not
specialists in physics cannot easily work out what is and what is not
reasonable.
Pseudoscientists and purveyors of quack remedies are all too ready to
take advantage of ignorance in these areas. There are also people who
think they understand the subject better than they actually do and who
honestly put out ideas which make sense to the proponent but which are
bad science.
