We invite applications for a PhD position on “Quantum machine learning” which is part of the newly funded Cluster of Excellence MATH+ within the Berlin research landscape.

We are currently offering a position on quantum thermodynamics within a newly installed international research network. The successful candidate will work in the research group for quantum information theory led by Jens Eisert at the Dahlem Center for Complex Quantum Systems of the Free University of Berlin. The position is part of an exciting DFG-funded network dedicated to realizing "thermal machines in the quantum world", thermodynamic devices that are based on quantum mechanisms in their functioning.

The Quantum Science, Engineering and Technology Conference (qSET) aims to bring together leading experts and students in the fields of quantum science, engineering and technology to present their best research and share their knowledge, in the form of plenary talks, keynote talks, invited talks, posters and pre-conference workshops.

The group of Dagmar Bruss at the University of Duesseldorf and the group of David Gross at the University of Cologne are inviting applications for a postdoctoral position (at Duesseldorf) and a PhD position (at Cologne).

We are searching for an outstanding young scientist in theoretical quantum physics. Successful candidates are expected to establish vigorous research programs and to collaborate closely with research groups in quantum physics at IQOQI and the University of Innsbruck, as well as to broaden or complement the existing research activities. All candidates should have a PhD and post-doctoral research experience at a university or comparable research institution. Women are particularly encouraged to apply.

The Group led by Prof. Radim Filip at Palacky University (http://muj.optol.cz/filip/) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher in the area of theoretical quantum physics, quantum metrology and quantum non-Gaussian states of light and matter. Expertise with non-Gaussian quantum optics, quantum cavity/circuit electrodynamics and physics of trapped atoms/ions will be valued, but an open-minded researcher ready for a new challenge is most welcome.
