Postdoctoral Positions in “Theoretical quantum optics and quantum simulations of many body effects”

The positions are within a CQT research project led by Dimitris Angelakis in the Centre for Quantum Technologies Singapore. We are looking for highly motivated candidates who have a strong research background in theoretical quantum optics. Exceptional candidates from condensed matter theory and/or quantum information theory will also be considered.

ICFO – The Institute of Photonic Sciences (http://www.icfo.eu) is offering an engineering position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment. The successful candidate will be part of a newly funded project carried out jointly by the Optoelectronics group led by V. Pruneri, the Experimental quantum optics group led by M. Mitchell and the Quantum information theory group led by A. Acin.

Cooperative Behaviour at the Quantum Light-Matter Interface

We are seeking a Post-Doctoral researcher to work at the interface of cold atoms and quantum optics. This is a prestigious two-year fellowship to study collective strong coupling of light and matter in an optical ring resonator.

The experiment aims to:
• Demonstrate collective strong coupling of potassium atoms in a high-finesse cavity
• Examine the cooperative mechanics of cold atoms in dynamical optical lattices

A postdoctoral position opens in autumn 2012 at the Quantware group of the Laboratory for Theoretical Physics, CNRS and University Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France (website http://www.quantware.ups-tlse.fr/). This position is funded by the LABEX NEXT in the framework of the grant ENCOQUAM (engineering of complex quantum matter waves) attributed to a team composed of the permanent researchers Bertrand Georgeot (theory) (webpage http://www.lpt.ups-tlse.fr/spip.php?article28)

Postdoctoral position in Quantum Information in Madrid
This is a call for applications for a postdoc position of 2 years (with the possibility of extending it another 6 months) in the group led by Prof. David Perez-Garcia at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
Candidates should have a PhD in Mathematics, Physics or Computer Science and an excellent research track. Though recommended, no prior knowledge of Quantum Information is required for the position. The main research aims associated to this position can be summarized in
