Salary for the post is £32,106 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.

The Department of Mathematics is seeking to recruit a post-doctoral research assistant to work with Dr Jonathan Barrett in the areas of Quantum Information Theory, and Foundations of Quantum Theory. The position is available from the 1st September 2011 and will run for two years.

The Institute of Theoretical Physics invites applications for a position as a Research Assistant (EntgGr. (Salary Group) 13 TV-L) to be appointed as soon as possible. The position is limited to three years.

== Responsibilities and duties ==

This position is part of an ERC project aimed at applying quantum information theory techniques to quantum field theory and is therefore limited to three years. The objective of the project is to develop new theoretical and numerical tools to study quantum field theory.
