The School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh invites applications for two research assistant position for two years funded by EPSRC to work on the Benchmarking Quantum Advantage at the recently created Quantum Software Lab, the largest quantum computer science group in the UK. We are looking for an excellent and motivated candidate with background in quantum computation, theoretical computer science or applied mathematics. The project is lead by Dr. Raul Garcia-Patron in collaboration with Dr. Hen Guo, Reader in Algorithms and Complexity, and Dr.

Applicants are invited for postdoctoral positions in experimental quantum optics and quantum information at Laboratoire Kastler Brossel (LKB) in Paris, France, in the Quantum Networks team led by Julien Laurat and Alban Urvoy. LKB is jointly run by Sorbonne Université, École Normale Supérieure, Collège de France and CNRS. The team works on three different projects towards the realization of future networks where quantum information will be distributed and processed.

Wigner negativity is one of the necessary resources for quantum computation with continuous variables. In recent years, this motivated our group to produce a series of works on the measurement-based creation of Wigner-negative states. However, there are a multitude of other important properties that a quantum state can have, such as a high stellar rank, non-linear squeezing, and non-Gaussian entanglement. The aim of the post-doc project is to design new protocols to generate quantum states with non-Gaussian entanglement.

We are looking for motivated and talented PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers for the Institute of Quantum Inspired and Quantum Computing headed by Martin Kliesch at the Hamburg University of Technology, Germany.

The Kestner Group in the Department of Physics at UMBC invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to carry out theoretical investigations of silicon spin qubits under the mentorship of Dr. Jason Kestner. The postdoctoral researcher will join a team of theoretical and experimental collaborators at UMBC, UCLA, the University of Rochester, Virginia Tech, and Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Labs, funded by the LPS/ARO grant “Measuring, Modeling, and Mitigating Noise in Spin Qubits.”
