We are seeking a Research Fellow / Postdoctoral Research Associate in Physics for a physics-chemistry multidisciplinary research program focused on quantum simulations of chemical dynamics using trapped ions. This position is open for both experimentalists and theorists. The research will be collaboratively performed with the trapped-ion experimental group at the School of Physics and the theoretical chemistry group at the School of Chemistry. Base Salary A\$101,507 - A\$140,586 p.a + 17% superannuation.

We seek to appoint a Postdoctoral Researcher in Physics for projects focused on developing classical-quantum interfaces and quantum control for trapped-ion quantum computation and simulation. This position is funded by the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems (EQuS). Base Salary A\$101,507 - A\$140,586 p.a + 17% superannuation.

We are searching for a talented post-doctoral fellow to model the dynamics of quantum light pulses interacting with non-linearities close to the quantum regime induced by a Kerr optical cavity. The candidate will build a complete framework to model light-matter interaction in a fully Hamiltonian way. The theory will rely on the so-called collision method, which has been successfully developed to model the production of entangled qubit-light states in superconducting circuits [1] and semiconducting quantum optical platforms [2]. The derived analytic expressions will be used to fit experimental data and help experimentalists to improve the performances of the device.

Salary: £33,348 to £44,414 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
Closing Date: Wednesday 04 October 2023
Interview Date: To be confirmed

We seek to recruit a Research fellow in Quantum Simulation of many-body dynamics with Rydberg interactions.

Applications are invited (on a competitive basis) for Government of Ireland scholarships for postdoctoral work in quantum computing at the University of Galway. Areas of interest are quantum walks, quantum games and in general quantum algorithms. For initial enquiries please email michael.mcgettrick@universityofgalway.ie
