It is a great pleasure for us to announce the International Conference on Frontiers of Circuit QED and Optomechanics 2018, which will be held at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (IST Austria), on February 12-14, 2018 with an estimated 120 conference attendees. The conference is organized by IST Austria and chaired by Dr. Shabir Barzanjeh and Prof. Johannes Fink from the Quantum Integrated Devices lab.

FCQO is designed to attract and engage the best researchers in the field. World renowned leaders in the fields of quantum opto- and electro-mechanics, circuit quantum electrodynamics, and optical to microwave quantum transduction will speak, and a number of top young researchers (PhD students, postdocs and junior group leaders) will be selected from the pool of submitted abstracts to give a contributed talk and present their posters.

We aim to bring together the leading scientists in Circuit QED, Electro/Optomechanics and hybrids systems to present both theoretical and experimental aspects, with a strong emphasis on the most cutting-edge experimental progress. We hope to create an interactive platform for the exchange of new ideas and we would like to inspire a conference series on the topic.

We look forward to welcoming you at IST!
