This is the one-month's-notice and final reminder that the call for applications for the 2014/15 edition of the Doctoral Programme in the Physics and Mathematics of Information: Foundations of Future Information Technologies (DP-PMI) will close on 18 March 2014 at 14h00 Lisbon time. <!--break-->

The DP-PMI aims at providing advanced curricular and research training in the recent developments and fundamental challenges in information sciences and technologies, namely in:

Shallow NV-centers in diamond

A suitably qualified and experienced individual is required to carry out research on experimental Atomic Physics and Ultracold Bose Fermi mixtures. The research is part <!--break-->
of a project investigating transport and localisation in ultracold quantum gases, especially a caesium BEC with lithium impurities. Candidates must have a PhD in physics <!--break-->
and experience with experimental manipulation of ultracold atomic gases, atomic physics and quantum optics. They should be confident, have good communication skills <!--break-->

The PhD fellow will work on the theory of cavity quantum electrodynamics of resonators embedding high-mobility 2D electron gases (both massive electrons in semiconductors and Dirac fermions in graphene).
The fellowship is funded by the Marie-Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) NOTEDEV and offers a very attractive salary and mobility allowances. <!--break-->

I am looking for postdoc candidates who are interested in joining my
theoretical quantum optics group at the University of Calgary.
Our research interests are briefly described below. My group
is part of the Institute for Quantum Science and Technology at the
University of Calgary, which encompasses several excellent
experimental and theoretical groups (see http://www.iqst.ca/),
guaranteeing a rich and stimulating research environment.

We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow with interest in one or more areas pursued by the Center for Integrated Quantum Science and Technology IQST, Ulm University (http://iqst.org/).

Postdoctoral position (under funding from the Irish Research Council) in quantum random walks and/or quantum game theory
and/or other areas of mutual interest in quantum information science.
