For a joint Mitacs-sponsored research project between IonQ Canada and the University of Toronto, we are looking for postdoctoral fellows with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: quantum computing, distributed computing, quantum algorithms, and/or quantum simulations. The project will involve the development of quantum algorithms for distributed quantum computers and the development of methods to simulate these algorithms.

The School of Computational Sciences at Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) invites applicants for the positions at the level of postdoctoral research fellow in Computational Sciences.

The candidates are required to have or expected to receive their doctoral degrees by starting date at KIAS in the relevant research fields:

The position will be in the group of Prof. Robert Raußendorf and under the leadership of Martin Plávala. You will be working on using machine learning to construct verifiable witnesses of entanglement and quantum nonlocality. The goal of the project is to construct such witnesses in high-dimensional cases where other methods fail due to a lack of computational resources. The applications will include witnessing entanglement of quantum states, witnessing high-dimensional steering, and witnessing nonlocality in Bell scenarios and quantum networks.

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to work on quantum error correction (QEC) and fault-tolerant quantum computing (FTQC) for photonic and spin-optical architectures. The successful candidate will work part-time in the QEC/FTQC team of Quandela (Massy, Paris region, France) and part-time in the Institut Mathématiques de Bordeaux, under the supervision of Prof. Gilles Zémor, for an initial two-year term, with the possibility of extension.
