The annual Quantum Optics and Information Meeting (KOBIT) is open for registration and abstract submission. The main goal of these series of meetings is to gather the scientists and students who are interested in the fields of quantum optics and information and create an open environment to support collaboration. The list of topics include:

Towards deterministic creation of quantum emitters in 2D materials for optical quantum technologies

We propose a PhD position with a possibility of doing a Master thesis of 4 to 6 months beforehand. The position leads to a doctoral degree of University Paris-Saclay (which is ranked world number 15 in Shanghai ranking).

A postdoc position is available in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP) at the University of Cambridge, in the group of Hamza Fawzi. The position is on the applications of convex relaxations to problems in quantum information and quantum many-body systems.

More details about the position and applications can be accessed at https://www.jobs.cam.ac.uk/job/45271/. The application deadline is 15th of March 2024.
